Since founding Ballet Folklórico de México in 1952, brilliant choreographer Amalia Hernández and her outstanding troupe have received more than 200 awards for technical perfection, sophisticated costume design, original music and choreography. Inspired by Mexican folkloric traditions, the colorful and dramatic dances of Ballet Folklórico evoke an ancient world of many flourishing cultures.
